City, meanwhile, have a home game with Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium in the Saturday evening match.
Neighbours Manchester United are next-in-line to the Premier League form, despite going off the boil in recent weeks.
The Red Devils go to a West Brom side who are sinking without trace towards the Championship with no discernible improvement under new boss Sam Allardyce.
Chelsea must wait until Monday night to attempt to continue their excellent form under new boss Thomas Tuchel, with Newcastle squarely in their sights at Stamford Bridge.
Capital city rivals West Ham have the chance to steal a march on the Blues in the battle for the top four earlier in the evening, as they tackle Sheffield United at the London Stadium in The Carlos Tevez derby.
Arsenal are at home to Leeds on Sunday afternoon, with both clubs eyeing up a charge into the top half of the Premier League standings.
Everton welcome Fulham to Goodison Park for the late kick off, while Southampton and Wolves bookend the day when they meet at St Mary’s Stadium.
